Once I've added the Aux tracks, I click on the input tab and all I get is the option for Bus and whatever the other option is (send?). Then after you choose Instrument 1, Logic automatically bonds the Aux tracks to Instrument 1. Once the tracks are added, click on the Aux Input tab and set it to Instrument 1 and choose the output you want (3-4,5-6, etc.). kick drum mics: 3-4 snare mics: 5-6, etc.)Ĥ) Click on Logic Mixer and the "+" to add your Aux Tracks. I'll let you know my process, maybe you can suggest a fix.ġ) Start Empty Project and open new Software Instrument, which will be Instrument 1.Ģ) Click on the plugins tab in the inspector and attach Superior Drummer (Multi-Out) just as you would any other plugin.ģ) When Superior Drummer pops up, click on SD Mixer and assign the outputs (i.e. Yes, I just downloaded (and restarted afterward) the newest version of Superior Drummer and it was doing the same thing. Intel High Def Audio (default factory soundcard)Ĭool. but I don't get an option for more than 2. If I wanted to record the drum set to individual tracks, I'd need up to 16 outputs. If I wanted to multitrack these drums, once I DO get it working, how do I set up a project for more than just a 1-2 Output? As it is right now, I have no options at all except for Stereo Output 1-2. I've watched the SD 2.0 tutorials, and they didn't really help me out much. all I hear is the click track, and when I stop there is nothing there. and it should record, right? When I play a drum loop, the input monitor is working correctly (as in it is obviously registering what is being played), but when I hit record it doesn't capture any audio. With Superior Drummer, I choose the SI track, make sure that Superior Drummer is the selected plugin. I use East West's PLAY much the same way, by just picking it as an instrument and Walla! I can record just fine. I'm running Logic 9 (and still somewhat new to it) and trying to get Superior Drummer to record as a software instrument, and from what I understand it's pretty simple to get it running.
